Ameriabank initiative raises funds for treatment of three ill children

Ameriabank said it has raised over 5 million drams as part of a special offer called "Pay by card, give life", conducted from November 1, 2012 to January 31, 2013.
YEREVAN, March 6. / ARKA /. Ameriabank said it has raised over 5 million drams as part of a special offer called "Pay by card, give life", conducted from November 1, 2012 to January 31, 2013. The special offer was designed to raise money for treatment of ill children, who are in critical condition.
The raised money was transferred to three ill children registered with Give Life Foundation. They are Nelli Petrosian, Gor Kzaryan and Suren Poghosyan who are in critical condition and in need of surgery abroad.
"Ameriabank presented iPhones to its most active five cardholders on March 5 as an appreciation of their participation in the initiative," the bank said in a statement.
The offer was designed for all cardholders of the bank, who should do cashless payments anywhere in the world, at any retail outlet, and for cardholders of other banks, who made payments through Ameriabank’s POS-terminals.
The amount was raised by transferring one dram from each 1000 drams of cashless payments to the special account. The bank said one dram was transferred from its proceeds only.
"The Bank thanked all those cardholders who readily contributed to this important initiative to support our children by both making non-cash card transactions and disseminating information about this initiative through social networks and other media,” the bank said.
