Armenia plans to attract investors for use of uncultivated land
"
YEREVAN, July 22. /ARKA/. Armenia’s government intends to attract investors for using uncultivated lands, Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan told reporters on Friday.
"A roadmap for land reform was recently presented to the Prime Minister and a decision was made to launch a pilot program in three localities. The government will make efforts to consolidate all uncultivated lands and make them available as a single land plot for large investors," Kerobyan said.
He said the localities have already been identified and the necessary changes will be submitted soon.
"Hopefully by the end of March 2023, we expect to make tangible progress in the land consolidation process," the minister said.
Kerobyan also said that the government has designed an ‘investments in exchange for property and infrastructure’ program, which will be submitted soon for the government’s approval.
According to the minister, the program has been coordinated with business partners and will soon be available to processing enterprises. -0-
