YEREVAN, December 23. /ARKA/. In 2019, the government of Armenia has suspended the operation of 21 subsoil user, Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Minister Suren Papikyan told reporters on Monday.
According to him, apart from a string of breaches and suspension of the licenses of a number of subsoil users, large amounts of arrears were also revealed.
He said as a follow-up to a massive inspection 204 mining companies had to pay 501 million drams in arrears and the licenses of 31 companies ,which refused to pay their arrears, were suspended.
He said also the inspections in this area will continue, and the main emphasis will be placed on the nature protection component. ($1 - 478.35 drams). -0-
