Armenian PM familiarizes with salt producing factory modernization process

YEREVAN, July 30. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister visited Saturday a Salt Producing Factory located in Yerevan’s district Avan, to familiarize with its modernization process, the Government reported. 

Sargsyan was accompanied by Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan, Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan, Government Chief of Staff David Sargsyan and other officials and entrepreneurs. 

The Factory producing “Extra” quality salt was put into operation in 1969. Now it needs modernization the cost of which is estimated to 10 million euros.

As a result the Factory is cooperating with SEP Swiss company involved into salt evaporation and crystallization which is instructed to construct a new enterprise that will be equipped with the most modern technologies. 

The company is also collaborating with Deep company in Germany that operates in engineering-geological designing of underground deposits.
 
The German company got an order to extract and purify the brine which is a raw material for salt production. 

“It will take 3-4 years to implement these projects, and the investments will total in 10 million euros. It will allow to provide the republic with the salt of good quality for the next 50 years and increase the export,” the source informs. —0--
