Thirteen Armenian wine companies are showcasing their produces at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is being held November 5-10 in Shanghai, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy reported.
YEREVAN, November 7. /ARKA/. Thirteen Armenian wine companies are showcasing their produces at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is being held November 5-10 in Shanghai, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy reported.
It said the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center has on display more than 160 varieties of Armenian wines and 34 varieties of cognac.
The executive director of the Armenian Viticulture and Winemaking Foundation Zaruhi Muradyan said winemaking is a priority sector of the Armenian economy. In her words, the Foundation spares no effort to ensure that companies with export potential participate in the exhibition in a country with the second-largest economy.
She said Armenian wines are exported to 32 countries and expressed confidence that this exhibition will open up new opportunities for expanding the exports of Armenian wines and cognacs.
The CIIE exhibition is being held for the second time this year. This year, nearly 3.9 thousand companies from 170 countries and regions are participating the exhibition. So far, 650,000 people have visited it. --0--
