YEREVAN, October 5. /ARKA/. More than 26.5% of the 1,060 companies surveyed by the Central Bank of Armenia in the third quarter of this year are ready to make investments in the next quarter, the financial regulator says in its report “Economic Activity Index and Business Environment Index”.
The central bank has surveyed 255 industrial enterprises, 249 trade companies, 167 constructor companies and 389 companies providing services.
The results of the poll show that the number of the companies ready to invest shrank from 28.4% in the second quarter to 26.5% in the third quarter.
According to the central bank, 33.1% of 249 respondent companies said they were ready to invest in trade in the fourth quarter against 34.2% questioned in the second quarter for investment in the third quarter.
Some 31.5% of 255 had intention to make investments in the third quarter, and 32.4% in the fourth quarter.
The number of the companies having intention to make investments in construction was smaller.
Of 167 companies, only 18.3% wanted to invest in construction in the third quarter, though their rate grew to 19.2% in the fourth quarter.
The rate of the companies willing to invest in the third quarter stood at 27% of 389, however, only 21.6% of them have really invested, and those wanting to invest in the fourth quarter 21.6%. -0-
