YEREVAN, March 19. / ARKA /. For five successive years TUV Rheinland, a Germany-based international company, has performed a regular annual audit of Ameriabank’s activities to confirm their compliance with the ISO 9001:2008 international quality management standard, the bank said in a news release today.
It said Marc Zeinoun, TÜV Rheinland auditor, director of Armenia and Lebanon offices, was highly impressed by the programs implemented by Ameriabank during 2013, which were aimed at improvement and development of the quality management system. He confirmed the bank’s certificate of compliance with ISO 9001:2008 International Quality Management Standard.
Artur Hambardzumyan, head of Ameriabank’s Innovation and Quality Unit, said the bank implemented last year a set of measures designed to improve the quality management system.
"More precisely, we revised and improved business processes relating to retail lending, placing the emphasis on fast and quality customer service,” he was quoted as saying.
He added that the bank did extensive work last year on the automation of processes. It developed and introduced a number of new services in addition to about 160 measures implemented to improve the operation of processes and systems.
"All this suggests that Ameriabank is not limited to the implementation of the minimum number of events required by ISO 9001:2008 standard, but introduces also tools stemming from the bank’s strategic goals and corporate management principle", he said.
Ameriabank is a universal bank providing investment, corporate and retail banking services. -0-
