YEREVAN, March 14. / ARKA /. The overall lending of 33 Armenian credit organizations to agriculture stood in late January 2014 at about 40.7 billion drams, 1.8 % up from December 2013, according to the monthly bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia for n January 2014.
Loans to crop sector were said to have upped by 2 percent from December to 18.8 billion drams, while loans to livestock sector saw an almost 2 percent growth to more than 20.8 billion drams.
Lending to trade sector fell to 21.8 billion drams, which was 1.7 % less than in December. Loans to retail trade in January amounted to 18.3 billion drams, and 3.2 billion drams to wholesale trade.
Loans to manufacturing sector fell by 1.6 percent to 10.4 billion drams. It is noteworthy that some 4 billion drams were loaned to food industry. ($ 1 - 414.94 drams). -0-
