YEREVAN, June 6. / ARKA /. In April 2014 the median gross wage in Armenia totaled 163,620 drams ($395 or 14,093 Russian rubles), by 1.5% more than in March, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
In March 2014 it was 161,150 drams, which was by 2.5% more than in February 2014 and by 7.9% more than in March 2013.
The highest median monthly gross wage in March 2014 was registered in the southern region of Syunik - about 196,900 drams, and the lowest in the Aragatsotn region - about 111,400 drams. In the capital city Yerevan it was about 176,000 drams.
The highest gross salaries in March were reported by the financial and insurance sectors- about 398,700 drams, mining sector -328,600 drams and information and communication sector- about 311,000 drams.
The lowest paid sectors were culture, entertainment and leisure -87,700 drams, agriculture, forestry and fishing – 97,300 drams, catering - about 100,000 drams and other services - about 102,500 drams ($ 1 - 413.36 drams). -0-
