President Sargsyan reviews Golden Grape ArmAs company’s development program
YEREVAN, October 16. /ARKA/. Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan visited Monday Aragatsotn region of Armenia, where he participated in the opening ceremony of a new wine and brandy factory Golden Grape ArmAs, President’s Office reports.
“Sargsyan visited the factory’s workshops, which meet all modern requirements, got familiar with the conditions there and the company’s development programs,” according to the source.
Golden Grape Armas made significant investments in uncultivated area of Kosh(200 hectares) and Sasunik (20 hectares) communities for their use for agricultural purposes.
As a result, now these territories have 160-hectare vineyards, 400,000 grape plants. Grape varieties for brandy and wine are being grown.
According to responsible individuals, the factory will present its first production- red, white and rose wines Shato ArmAs, in May 2013, and three years later its first brandy- ArmAs.
The production is said to be exported too.
Golden Grape ArmAs development program implies founding a factory that will produce juices, jams, etc. Also it is directed to building
green houses, farms.
The company also aims to develop agro-tourism in Armenia. For that, it has already built a hotel complex, which will be commissioned in May.
