SCR prolongs deadline for submission of tender proposals for repair of foreign-manufactured motor vehicles
YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. The South Caucasus Railways has prolonged the deadline for submission of tender proposals for provision of technical services and repair of Mitsubishi, Toyota, Audi, Mercedes Benz and Russia-made cars until June 12, the company’s press office reported today.
It said the tender is open to all the entities having a right to take part in procurements regardless of whether they are foreign individuals, companies or persons without citizenship.
Validity of the contract is one year after it takes force.
Under the tender terms, payment is made within 30 days after the act on provision of services is signed.
Every contender must have trained personnel and necessary technical means for examining vehicles and original and high-quality parts for repairing them.
Proposals will be assessed by using following criteria: quality and quickness of services, service quality guarantee term, volume of service quality guarantee and the cost of the contract.
“The prices proposed by bidders must remain pegged throughout the entire term of the contract, and they also must be set up in Armenia’s national currency,” the press release says.
It is necessary to transfer 5,000 drams to 160411023262 account at VTB Bank (Armenia) or 400 Russian rubles to its 16041122326800 account for competing in this open tender.
The customer ought to provide an invitation in two working days after receiving the mentioned sum.
It is necessary to submit a written application, authorization to receive it, a copy of the organization’s state registration certificate and contacts (phone number/fax).

The cost of the proposal and the cost of a unit are indicated in Armenian currency for residents of Armenia. If the cost is in Russian rubles (for nonresidents), the proposal will be assessed in Armenian drams, in accordance with official exchange rate effective on the day of the publication of the announcement.
The contract with the winner will be registered in Armenian drams (for residents) or in other currencies (for nonresidents), in accordance with exchange rates effective on the day of publication of the announcement.
Tender proposals will be considered by the tender commission of the South Caucasus Railways along with a representative of the organizer within 14 working days after the deadline set for submission of applications.
“The organizer reserves the right to alter tender documents, to terminate the open tender procedure and decline all applications before summarizing the tender results, without any explanation and without bearing any responsibility,” the press office says.
South Caucasus Railways, a 100-percent subsidiary of Russian Railways, runs Armenian Railway.
Armenian Railways was handed over to the South Caucasus Railways on February 13, 2008 for 30-year concession management with a right to prolong the management term for other 10 years.-0---
