Several companies and individuals are interested in acquiring Armavia, the national airline of Armenia, Nana Avetisova, a spokeswoman for Armavia, told Novosti-Armenia news agency.
YEREVAN, September 26. / ARKA /. Several companies and individuals are interested in acquiring Armavia, the national airline of Armenia, Nana Avetisova, a spokeswoman for Armavia, told Novosti-Armenia news agency.
According to her, the potential deal is under negotiation. She did not say whether the talks are on full or partial acquisition of the airline. She said among potential buyers there are also foreign companies.
Armavia was founded in 1996. In 2005 all its shares were acquired by businessman Mikhail Baghdasarov. The company operates more than 100 flights a week to over 40 destinations in 20 countries. It owns and runs Airbus, CRJ, Boeing, as well as Sukhoi Superjet aircrafts. -0-
