Shareholders approve new SCR board of directors

The shareholders of South Caucasus Railway (SCR) company met in Moscow on June 29 to confirm the annual report of the company, elect the members of Board of Directors and the auditing commission, SCR told ARKA on Wednesday.
YEREVAN, July 4. /ARKA/. The shareholders of South Caucasus Railway (SCR) company met in Moscow on June 29 to confirm the annual report of the company, elect the members of Board of Directors and the auditing commission, SCR told ARKA on Wednesday.
The newly elected members of Board of Directors are: President of Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin, CEO of SCR Viktor Rebets, Senior Vice Presidents of Russian Railways Valentin Gapanovich, Vadim Mikhaylov and Valery Reshetnikov, Head of Legal Department at Russian Railways Vadim Bynkov, Chief of Economic situation and strategic development department at Russian Railways Valery Veremeyev, and Economy Department at Russian Railways Irina Kostenets.
“Taking into account the principles of business cooperation, the Board will also include a representative of the Government of Republic of Armenia (which is not a SCR shareholder). At the moment the executive body is evaluating a candidate for this position,” the statement informs.
South Caucasus Railways, a 100-percent subsidiary of Russian Railways, runs Armenian Railway.
Armenian Railways was handed over to the South Caucasus Railways on February 13, 2008 for 30-year concession management with a right to prolong the management term for other 10 years.-0-
