YEREVAN, October 28. /ARKA/. Six insurance companies found themselves among Armenia’s 1000 largest taxpayers in the third quarter of this year – they transferred AMD 1.56 billion to the government budget over a period between July and September 2013.
According to the State Revenue Committee, direct taxes made up 94.8% of the taxes paid by insurance companies and amounted to AMD 1.48 billion.
These six insurance companies’ share in the total amount sent by top 1000 taxpayers to the government budget was 0.32% in the 3rd Q 2013.
These six insurance companies are Rosgosstrakh Armenia (AMD 528.2 million), Ingo-Armenia (AMD 366.2 million), Reso (AMD 257 million), Sil Insurance (AMD 153.4 million), Nairi Insurance (AMD 129.5 million) and Garant Insurance (AMD 128.5 million).
As a whole, the country’s 1000 largest taxpayers transferred more than AMD 479.9 billion to the budget in July-Sept 2013 against AMD 394.9 billion at the same period a year before.
