YEREVAN, October 28. /ARKA/. More than 70 companies from Armenia and Belarus are discussing cooperation prospects at a business forum in Yerevan, Karen Martirosyan, executive director of the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Yerevan, said today.
He told ARKA News Agency that representatives of 11 Belarusian companies and more than 60 Armenian companies are taking part in the forum.
Alexander Fedochuk, director general of the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Commerce and Industry Chamber, on his side, told journalists that representatives of various segments of industry, including machinery, car, furniture and food industries, came to Yerevan to attend this forum.
He expressed hope that the interest Armenia shows today in Belarusian businesses will lay grounds for establishment of close business ties between the two countries entrepreneurs.
The forum was launched on October 27 and will be wrapped up on October 31.
Gomel Carriage Works, Minsk Car-Manufacturing Works, Mozir Machinery Manufacturing Works etc are taking part in the event.
Trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $32.8 million in Jan-Aug 2013 showing a 19.1-percent year-on-year growth. ----0----
