YEREVAN, December 13. / ARKA /. The tenth exhibition of jewelry and goldsmith products and a forum on challenges faced by this sector has opened today in Yerevan. The three-day even will run through December 15.
According to Emil Grigoryan, the head of Gnomon jewelry factory, the main purpose of the forum is to give impetus to the development of the industry, to discuss the main trends and to determine the priorities of the jewelry industry in the context of Armenia's impending accession to the Customs Union.
"We expect interesting discussions on how to improve the quality of Armenia-produced jewelry and a wide exchange of views," he said to ARKA.
The discussions will be attended by Russian experts, representatives of Armenian ministries of economy and finance and the State Revenue Committee.
Admission to the exhibition, which will be held in the Armenian government’s session hall will be paid - 500 drams per ticket.
The forum and the exhibition are held by the Association of Jewelers and Diamond Producers, Gnomon jewelry factory with the support of the government. The first exhibition was held in 1998. ($1 – 404.84 drams). -0-
