YEREVAN, February 5. /ARKA/. About 35 hectares of forests in Armenia’s Tavush, Shirak and Gegharkunik provinces will be restored in 2014, the Armenian government’s press office reported after the trustees of the foundation for restoration and development of forests in Armenia held Wednesday their session presided by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
It was also decided at the session to carry out sanitation on 100 hectares of forest areas in Kotayk province this year as well as to continue restoration also in 2015.
According to press release, the implementation of the program of planting trees on 51 hectares in Yerevan’s Erebuni Forestry will be completed this year. The program is being implemented by using a new technology, which will prevent landslides. 0---
