YEREVAN, May 19, / ARKA /. Robert Harutyunyan, head of the Armenian Development Agency (ADA) and Lee Tszinyuan, secretary general of China - Eurasia Expo have signed today a cooperation agreement in Yerevan. The signing was attended by the ambassador of China to Armenia, Tian Changchun and Armenian deputy foreign minister Sergey Manaseryan.
The agreement is aimed at the development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation between the parties, as well as at strengthening of business ties through bilateral visits and consultations.
Robert Harutunyan said Armenia’s participation in the exhibition is a good chance for it not only to display Armenian products to the Chinese consumer, but also to start a cooperationwith the province of Xinjiang, ‘the largest and most interesting province of China."
The China - Eurasia exhibition will be held September 1-6 in the Chinese city of Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in the northwest of the country.
Lee Tszinyuan said Chinese entrepreneurs are very interested in cooperation with Armenian companies.
According to him, the agreement marks a new era of cooperation between Armenia and China.
The China – Eurasia exhibition is an important channel for China's cooperation with Eurasian countries and regions in the fields of economy, trade, investment, culture, science, technology, finance and the humanities. -0-
