Agricultural fair to kick off in Yerevan on June 8
YEREVAN, May 30. /ARKA/. Another seasonal agricultural fair will open in Yerevan on June 8, Armenia’s deputy minister of agriculture Robert Makaryan told a press conference Thursday.
The fair will be launched in the square adjoining Kasyan street, Arabkir community of the capital. The opening ceremony will include a concert and special events for children. Farmers from almost all regions, mainly Aragatsotn, Armavir, Ararat and Kotayk, are expected at the fair. Later a similar fair will open in the area near Malibu café, Center community.
Makaryan said this year farmers will get registered online and will receive a special certificate with information about their products. Details of products at the fair and contact details of farmers are available on farmers.am.
The fairs will continue till the end of the year.
Opening of fairs in other communities as well is currently discussed with the municipality, Makaryan said.
Makaryan also noted a total of 63 fairs with 5,000 farmers were held in the area near Malibu café in 2013. About 5,500 farmers took part in 48 fairs in Kasyan street last year. –0--
