Armenian and Russian governments are developing new project of social-economic cooperation, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said Tuesday at the meeting with Russian Federation Parliament Chairman Sergey Naryshkin.

YEREVAN, July 25. /ARKA/. Armenian and Russian governments are developing new project of social-economic cooperation, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said Tuesday at the meeting with Russian Federation Parliament Chairman Sergey Naryshkin.

Sargsyan attached importance to diversifying the bilateral economic relations saying “such meetings are a good opportunity to discuss the most important issues and principles of Armenian-Russian cooperation, building the common future.”

Sergey Naryshkin, on his side, highly commended the existing strategic partnership between Armenia and Russia highlighting commercial economic ties as the most important component of the bilateral cooperation.

“We are proud to be the principal economic partner of Armenia. The parliamentarians of the both countries are ready to undertake all the necessary measures to step up and further develop economic relations between Armenia and Russia,” Naryshkin noted.
He also welcomed the initiative of developing new program of cooperation between the governments of Armenia and Russia, and expressed his readiness to assist in the efforts towards this process.

The sides also expanded upon the processes related to the Eurasian Economic Union as well as issues around attracting investments to free economic areas forming in Armenia. —0-
