Armenia likely to host 3rd Armenian-Russian interregional forum in 2013
YEREVAN, January 10. /ARKA/. Armenia is likely to host the third Armenian-Russian interregional forum, Russia’s Ambassador to Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko told ARKA today.
“It is very likely that Armenia will host the forum again, and I think this is reasonable. This is the willingness of the both sides,” the Russian diplomat said.
According to him, it is very important if as many representatives of Russia regions as possible come to Armenia and establish some commercial and
economic contacts in small and medium-sized business sector.
Kovalenko noted the second forum proved the both sides had chosen the right track.
“During the second forum, the parties signed a number of important cooperation agreements between Vanadzor and Arkhangelsk regions,” the ambassador said.
According to him, there is still much to be done for the further partnership, but the sides are on the right track.
The second forum was held in Yerevan in October 2012.
Over 300 people representing business and local political circles participated in the forum. -0-
