Armenia may join Eurasian Economic Union by July 1 – MP
YEREVAN, June 3. /ARKA/. Armenia may join the Eurasian Economic Union by July 1, member of Armenian parliament from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, head of parliament commission on finance, credit and budget Gagik Minasyan told reporters on Tuesday.
All main issues are agreed upon, some minor technical aspects are still to be settled and this can be completed by July 1, the MP said.
On May 29, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan signed the agreement about the Eurasian Economic Union to come into force on January 1, 2015.
At the extended Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Astana on May 29, Armenia’s president said Yerevan intends to join the Eurasian Economic Union by mid June. –0--
