Armenia one of best in loan portfolio performance – WB regional director
YEREVAN, May 16. /ARKA/. Armenia is one of the best countries in terms of loan portfolio performance, the World Bank regional director of Henry Keral said Thursday at his meeting with Armenia’s premier Hovik Abrahamyan, the government press office reported.
Keral said the WB is a reliable partner to Armenia, and it will continue supporting Armenian government in reform implementation to raise the level of cooperation.
The WB regional director congratulates Abrahamyan on the appointment as premier and wished him fruitful work.
Abrahamyan, in his, turn, appreciated cooperation with the WB and confirmed his readiness to aim at better achievements.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues on the process and prospects for bilateral cooperation.
In particular, Keral and Abrahamyan touched upon priorities and current partnership strategy programs between Armenia and the WB for 2014-2017. The sides talked about reforms in public administration, civil aviation, tax and other fields.
The meeting was attended by head of WB Yerevan Office Jean-Michelle Happy.
As of March, 2014, Armenia received a total of $1,839.06 million as part of its cooperation with the WB since 1992 and the cooperation with the IDA since 1993. –0--
