Armenia posts highest industrial output growth of 13.4 percent among is countries

YEREVAN, September 7 /ARKA/. Armenia posted the highest industrial output growth of 13.4 percent among the CIS countries in January-July this year, according to the CIS Statistical Committee.

It said six CIS member countries posted industrial output growth. Tajikistan saw a 12% rise, Belarus (8.6%), Russia (3.2%), Kazakhstan (1.3%) and Ukraine (0.2%). Uzbekistan’s industry soared by 7% in the first six months.

 Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan reported 2.8% and 30.2% decline respectively, no data on Turkmenistan was available. Moldova’s industrial output in the first six months was said to decline by 0.3%. On average, the industrial output across CIS countries in January-July rose by 2.6% from a year before. -0-
