Armenia’s anti-trust agency fines Vesta company 15 million drams for unfair competition

YEREVAN, March 14. / ARKA /. Armenia’s State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC ) has ruled today to fine Vesta company in the amount of 15 million drams for unfair competition.

This company deals with imports and sale of household appliances.

SCPEC head Artak Shaboyan said an  investigation of the Commission found that Vesta’s claims that it was the official representative of  Philips, Sharp, Panasonic, Samsung, Fagor, Mastercook, Zelmer, Fujitsu, Fisher and others companies in Armenia, were not true.

SCPEC demanded that Vesta provide it with appropriate documents proving its claims, but the company could show only a few certificates indicating only trade relations between it and the above-mentioned companies and no document proving it was their official representative in Armenia. ($ 1 - 414.97 drams). -0 -
