YEREVAN, April 30. / ARKA /. Armenia’s consumer prices in April grew by 0.5% from the previous month, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said today.
According to the NSS data, the increase in consumer prices was caused by a 0.9% rise in food prices, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products. Prices of services rose by 0.1 %, while prices of non-foods decreased by 0.1 %.
The consumer price index in April 2014 rose by 4.4 percent from April 2013. The prices of foods rose by 3.1 %, prices of non-food products rose by 1.8 %, and services rose by 08.5 %. The government projection of this year’s inflation is 4 % (± 1.5%). -0-
