Armenia’s domestic trade in 2014 January grew by 4.6 percent to 125 billion drams.

YEREVAN, February 28. / ARKA /. Armenia’s domestic trade in 2014 January amounted to about 125 billion drams, which was 4.6 % more than in January 2013, according to the National Statistical Service.

The retail trade accounted for 64.6 % or 80.8 billion drams of the total domestic trade. In January 2014 it  was 0.3 percent higher from the year before.

The rest -32.3% -or about 40.3 billion drams- were generated by wholesale trade. According to statistics, a significant portion of retail trade- 65.9% or 53.2 billion drams – were generated by food and other stores. 

Another 6.2 percent or 5 billion drams were generated by markets selling consumer goods. ($ 1 - 412.93 drams). -0-
