YEREVAN, June 4. / ARKA /. Armenia’s domestic trade in the first fourth month grew by 5.1 percent from the same time in 2013 to about 627 billion drams, the National Statistical Service said today.
According to the statistics, retail trade accounted for 60.8 % or 381.4 billion drams of the total domestic trade turnover. It increased by 2.2 percent from January-April of last year.
Wholesale trade accounted for 35.5% or about 222.8 billion drams of the total domestic trade, a 12% growth from the same time span of 2013.
According to statistics, stores and supermarkets accounted for about 68.9 % or 262.7 billion drams of the retail trade and markets of consumer goods accounted for about 21.8 billion drams or 5.7% of the total retail trade. ($ 1 - 413.59 drams). -0-
