YEREVAN, January 24. / ARKA /. According to the latest data of the National Statistical Service (NSS), Armenia 's economic activity in January- December 2013 increased by 3.5 % from the year before, down from the projected 6.2 percent.
Consumer prices were said to have risen by 5.8 %, while prices of industrial goods increased by 4.7%.
According to NSS, industrial output last year constituted, in terms of money, over 1. 2 trillion drams, a 6.8 percent rise from 2012.
The agricultural GDP surged by 7 percent from 2012 to 918.6 billion drams; construction slashed by 8.1 percent to 442.3 billion drams, domestic trade turnover saw a slight rise of 1.2 percent to 2. 331.1 trillion drams, while services grew by 3.6 percent to 1. 022.7 trillion drams.
Armenia’s foreign trade in 2013 amounted to approximately $5.956.8 billion, an increase of 5.6 percent when compared with January-December 2012, the NSS said. -0-
