YEREVAN, October 21. / ARKA /. Armenia’s economic activity in January - September 2013 increased by 3.2 % from the same period in 2012, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
According to the official numbers, consumer prices in January- September rose by 5.6 % year-on-year, while industrial goods prices increased by 4.8%.
The industrial output in the first nine months rose by 7 percent from 2012 to 874.6 billion drams.
Agricultural output grew by 5.5 percent to 663.4 billion drams; construction declined by 9.2 percent to 224.9 billion drams, domestic trade saw a 2 percent rise to 1.546.3 trillion drams and services grew by 2.8 percent to 740.7 billion drams.
Foreign trade in January- September 2013 amounted to $ 4.169.6 billion, an increase of 4.5 % from the year before. The government expects the GDP to grow this year by 6.2%. ($1 - 406.51 drams).
