YEREVAN, December 20. / ARKA /. Armenia’s economic activity index in January- November 2013 increased by 3.1 % compared with the same period in 2012, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said today.
According to NSS data, during the reporting period consumer prices rose by 5.8 % year-on-year while industrial goods prices increased by 4.7%.
In terms of money the 11-month industrial output surged by 7.1 percent to 1.108.38 trillion drams.
The agricultural GDP was said to have upped by 6.1 percent to 857.3 billion drams, construction sector saw an 8.5 percent decline to 356.5 billion drams, domestic trade grew by 1.6 percent to 1.971.9 trillion drams and services grew by 2.9 percent to 917.12 billion drams.
Foreign trade turnover amounted to approximately $5.342.7 billion, an increase of 5.2 percent compared to the same period in 2012. ($ 1 - 405.35 drams). -0-
