YEREVAN, September 20. / ARKA/. According to the latest statistical data, released by the National Statistical Service, Armenia's economic activity in January-August 2013 increased by 3.8% from the same time span last year. Consumer prices were said to have risen by 5.3%, while prices of industrial goods increased by 4.6%.
During the reporting period, industrial output upped by 6.2 percent year-on-year to 764.1 billion drams; agricultural production grew by 7.1 percent to 467 billion drams, construction sector saw an 8.5 percent decline to 193.6 billion drams, domestic trade rose by 2.5 percent to 1.333.9 trillion drams and services grew by 3.2 percent to 651.7 billion drams.
Foreign trade turnover in January-August 2013 amounted to $1.503.6 billion, an increase of 2.8 percent from the same period in 2012. ($ 1 -407.49 AMD). -0-
