YEREVAN, August 20. /ARKA/. Armenia's economic activity rose by 4.1% in January-July compared to the same period of 2013, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said today.
According to the NSS, consumer prices in January-July 2014 grew by 3.4% from the year earlier, while industrial producer price index increased by 9.2%.
The NSS said 693.6 billion drams worth industrial goods were produced in January-July this year, a 1.5% increase against the same period of 2013.
The agricultural output is said to have grown by 3.2 percent to 316.1 billion drams, construction saw a growth of 0.5 percent to 159.9 billion drams, domestic trade turnover rose by 5.6 percent to 1,213.4 billion drams, while services grew by 5.5 percent to 599.5 billion drams.
Armenia’s foreign trade turnover in January-July 2014 amounted to approximately $3,289.5 billion, an increase of 3.5 percent compared with the same period in 2013.
The government’s projection of GDP growth for this year is 5.2%. ($ 1 - 408.2 drams). -0 –
