Armenia’s Economic Competition Protection Commission opens administrative proceedings against three appliances selling companies

YEREVAN, December 25. /ARKA/. Armenia’s State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition opened administrative proceedings against Aray, Technolife and Vega appliances selling companies, the head of Commission Artak Shaboyan told reporters on Tuesday.

Shaboyan noted Aray and Technolige stores were sending text messages to a number of citizens encouraging them to make a purchase and get up to 100,000- dram discounts. The message also said such campaign was unprecedented.

Shaboyan noted that after investigating the case, it was revealed the discount was available for only short-listed appliances, and the campaign was not unprecedented.

As to Vega, the Commission head clarified the store was announcing 110% discounts that was not true. —0-
