Armenia’s export and import up 13.5% and 6.7% respectively in Jan-June
YEREVAN, August 9. /ARKA/. Export in Armenia advanced 13.5% to $684.4 million (270.3 billion drams) within the first six months of 2012 from the same period a year earlier, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.
At the same time, import rose by 6.7% to $2017.7 million (796.8 billion drams) within the reported period.
Export jumped by 0.5%, and import dropped by 7.1% in June from May.
Foreign trade turnover in Armenia increased by 8.3% to $2702.1 million or 1067.1 billion drams in Jan-June of 2012 from the same period a year earlier. At the same time, in June 2012 foreign trade turnover slashed by 5.2% from May.
Negative foreign trade balance of was $1333.3 million (526.5 billion drams). ($1-413.94 drams).—0--
