Armenia’s government subsidies nearly 5.9 tons diesel fuel to farmers
YEREVAN, August 16. /ARKA/. Armenia’s government made a decision Thursday on subsidies to farmers to partially offset the cost of diesel fuel
Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan said the farmers will get 5,899 tons of diesel fuel at special offer of 350 drams per 1 liter.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said the program on agriculture aid implemented by the government will make diesel fuel more affordable for farmers during the seeding period.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, prices for petrol and diesel fuel rose by 4.3% and 3.1% respectively in July 2012 from the same month a year earlier. ($1 – 411.59 drams). —0--
