Armenia’s industrial output in August increases by 8.7 percent year-on-year to 93.5 billion drams
YEREVAN, September 27. / ARKA /. Armenia’s industrial output in August 2012 increased by 8.7 percent year-on-year to 93.5 billion drams, according to numbers released today by the National Statistical Service. However, when compared with the previous month of this year the figure was 1.7 percent down.
Agricultural output was said to have risen by 12.3 percent from a year earlier to 140.7 billion drams. The growth against the previous month was 84 percent.
Construction sector again posted 3.8 percent decline compared to the same month of 2011 to 39.6 billion drams. However, in August 2012 it saw a 12.3 percent rise over July. ($1 – 405.87 drams). -0-
