Armenia’s industrial output in January 2014 drops by 3.3 percent to 87.9 billion drams

YEREVAN, February 28. / ARKA /. Armenia’s industrial output in January 2014 amounted to 87.9 billion drams, 3.3% less than in January 2013, the National Statistical Service said.

Manufacturing industry is said to account for 53.2 % of the total output. Compared with January 2013 it was down 7.7 %, amounting to about 46.8 billion drams. Mining output is said to have decreased by 3.3 % to 15 billion drams.

Supplies of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air increased by 8.4 percent to 24.7 billion drams. Water supply, waste treatment,  purification and recycling  amounted to more than 1.4 billion drams, having increased by 2.9%. ($ 1 - 412.93 drams). -0-
