Armenia’s industrial output this year will amount to over 1.06 trillion drams: expert says
YEREVAN, September 19. / ARKA /. Armenia’s industrial output this year will amount to over 1.06 trillion drams, Vazgen Safarian, head of the Union of Domestic Commodity Producers, told a news conference today, comparing the projected figure will last year’s 992 billion drams.
According to him, the projected increase should be credited to the active policy of Armenian producers who made the government to look at the industrial sector as a political category.
Today the industry accounts for a sizeable share in the national GDP. Last year the industrial output rose by 14.4% and by 10 percent this year. According to him, last year Armenia exported 127,700 tons of copper concentrate and this figure is projected to grow this year to 140,000 tons. -0-
