Armenia’s industrial production excluding mining sees 10% growth-Premier

YEREVAN, October 13. /ARKA/. Industrial production in Armenia, excluding mining industry sector, saw a 10% growth in the first half of 2012, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said at the second Armenian-Russian interregional forum in Yerevan on Saturday. 

“A principal change in our approach is that as a government, we not only form a competitive investment and business atmosphere, but also support each particular enterprise that is unprecedented approach in the history of contemporary independent Armenia,” he said.

According to him, export oriented industrial policy, adopted by the government, significantly contributed to the industrial growth in Armenia.

We develop partnership between the State and the private sector, he added.

According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, industrial production volume in Armenia rose by 8.7% to over 93.5 billion drams in August 2012 from a year earlier.

The first Armenian-Russian interregional forum was held in Yerevan on April 18-20, 2011. ($1 – 406.33 drams). -0-
