Armenia’s industrial production surges 13.2% to AMD 698.4 bln in 8 months
YEREVAN, October 4. /ARKA/. Volume of industrial production in Armenia advanced 13.2% to 698.4 billion drams within the first eight months of 2012 from a year earlier, a head of industrial Policy Department at Economy Ministry Hayk Mirzoyan told ARKA.
“We anticipate this figure to rise many times by the year’s out. I think, we have normal industrial growth rates, but nevertheless, we need to improve them,” Mirzoyan noted.
Within the first six months of this year, Armenia produced industrial goods valued at 515.2 billion drams, which is 13% higher from a year earlier.
Industrial export totaled 197.1 billion drams ( nearly 40.4% of the total industrial production volume). Export to CIS member states significantly climbed by 58.9% to 46.6 billion drams. Export to other states increased by 2.8% to 150.5 billion drams. ($1 – 407.09 drams).—0-
