Armenia’s industrial production ups 11.6% to over AMD 796,4 bln in Jan-Sept
YEREVAN, October 22./ ARKA/. The industrial production in Armenia climbed by 11.6% to over 796.4 billion drams in January-September 2012 from the same period a year earlier, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.
Industrial production slashed by 0.2% in September from August, and increased by 0.3% from September 2011 to nearly 94.3 billion drams.
Prices for industrial production rose by 8.5% in September 2012 from a year earlier, and by 1.3% from August.
Agricultural production in Armenia jumped by 10.5% to about 609.3 billion drams in January-September 2012. At the same time, agricultural production volume totaled nearly 178 billion drams in September 2012, advancing by 9.8% from a year earlier, and by 26.4% from August.
Construction tumbled by 2% to 263.2 billion drams over the three quarters in 2012. In September construction works upped by 5% from the same month a year earlier to 56.7 billion drams, and by 43.4% from August. ($1 – 405.85 drams). —0-
