Armenia’s industrial workers to see 10% rise in their salaries in IV q - CB
YEREVAN, October 5. /ARKA/. Employees in industrial sector of Armenia are expected to receive 10% higher salaries in the fourth quarter of 2012, according to “Economic activity index, business environment index” report of Armenia’s Central Bank.
The CB also notes that 11% hike in salaries will be reported on the enterprises operating in service sector.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, an average nominal wage on the industrial enterprises was one of the highest in July.
Mining industry salaries rose by 10.5% to 262, 234 drams in July from a year earlier, and processing industry salaries- 125,238 drams, which is 5.8% higher from the same month in 2011.
At the same time, National Statistical Service says salaries in other services were the lowest in July 2012 (76, 815 drams).
According to the Central Bank, employees of 80% commercial enterprises didn’t see any changes in their salaries in the reported period.
Along with this, industrial and commercial spheres hired more workers in the third quarter. No changes in a number of employees were reported on 50% enterprises operating in construction and service spheres.
In the fourth quarter 2012, the labor force is expected to increase on 30% commercial enterprises, and to drop on 18% of construction enterprises. .($1- 408.38 drams). -0-
