YEREVAN, January 8. /ARKA/. Armenia’s inflation rate was 5.8% in 2013, ArmState reported.
Consumer price index (including alcoholic drinks and tobacco products) was 105.8% in January-December 2013, compared to the same period of the year before. Indices for nonfood and service prices were 104.6% and 106.4% respectively, according to the report.
Consumer prices rose by 1.1% in Armenia in December 2013 compared to the previous month. Food (including alcoholic drink and tobacco product) prices grew by 2.1% in December, whereas non-foods’ prices remained unchanged and service prices dropped by 0.2%. Consumer price index was 105.6% in December 2013, compared to the same period of 2012. Index for food (including alcoholic drink and tobacco products) prices was 104%; nonfoods and service price indices were 103.5% and 109.7% respectively. Armenia’s inflation rate was 2.6% in 2012. Under the government budget inflation level was 4% (±1.5) both for 2013 and 2014. –0--
