YEREVAN, October 7. / ARKA /. Armenia’s inflation in January- August 2013 rose by 3.5 percent from the year before, while the average inflation across the CIS was 3.2 %, the CIS Statistical Committee reported.
In terms of inflation rate Armenia was third. The leader was Belarus with 8.2 %, Russia saw a 4.5% inflation, in Kazakhstan it was 3.1%, in Tajikistan - 2.5%, in Kyrgyzstan - 1.1%, in Moldova 1. 1% and in Azerbaijan - 0.1%, while Turkmenistan and Ukraine recorded 1.7 % and 0.6 % deflation respectively. No data was available for Uzbekistan.
Consumer prices in Armenia in August this year increased by 0.3 % from July , while the average for the CIS remained unchanged.
The highest growth of consumer prices in August when compared to uly was recorded in Tajikistan -0.9 %, in Kazakhstan they grew by 0.2 %, and by 0.1 percent in Russia and Belarus.
Consumer prices in the reporting period declined by 0.7% in Ukraine, 0.3 percent in Azerbaijan, 0.2 percent in Moldova and 0.1 percent in Kyrgyzstan. -0-
