Armenia’s ministry of social security to engage actively in employment programs
YEREVAN, July 9. /ARKA/. Armenia’s ministry of labor and social security is planning to start active employment programs, head of the ministry Artem Asatryan said at the third congress of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia.
The new policies will help transfer from passive to active projects for promotion of employment level in the country, the minister said.
In this respect the minister stressed the importance of social partnership between the ministry, the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia and the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia. This cooperation will help find approaches and solutions that take into account interests of all parties, according to the minister.
More practical cooperation between the sides will be developed, Asatryan said expressing confidence certain results and solutions will be recorded in the near future.
The main problems to be solved within trilateral cooperation format are poverty, unemployment, pension and social benefits increases.
The trilateral agreement about social partnership was signed between the premier, chairman of the Republican Union of Employers and the head of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia in 2009 and was extended in 2012.
The Republican Union of Employers of Armenia was founded on November 15, 2007. It had initially 150 members. Today the Union has more than 12,850 members. –0--
