Armenia’s monetary base rose by 2.8% in March
YEREVAN, May 5. /ARKA/. Armenia’s monetary base hiked by 2.8% in March compared to February to about 779.4 billion drams, ArmStat reported based on preliminary information from the Central Bank of Armenia.
Cash outside the Central Bank exceeded 382.5 billion drams as of the end of March, compared to about 385.2 billion drams in February.
Mandatory reserves in drams totaled over 182.16 billion against over 190.9 billion at the end of February; those in foreign currencies exceeded 209.37 billion drams versus about 171.3 billion as of the end of February.
Net international reserves less money from privatization were over 544.6 billion as of the end of March, a reduction of 1.84% compared with the February level.
Net internal assets totaled about 234.7 billion as compared to 203.37 billion at the end of February. ($1=413.59drams). –0--
