YEREVAN, January 9. /ARKA/. Armenia’s money supply rose by 0.26% to about 1,470.6 billion drams as of the end of November compared to October, ArmStat reported based on preliminary information from the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA).
Cash outside the banking system amounted to about 352.27 billion drams as of the end of the reporting month, a 1.9% reduction from October. Call deposits (in drams) were 188.5bln drams (2.8% increase).
Time deposits exceeded 241.4 billion drams in the reporting period (4.5% increase).
Deposits in foreign currency were about 688.4bln drams (0.7% reduction).
Money multiplier was 1.97 at the end of November, as compared to 2.04 in October. ($1=405.95drams). –0--
