Armenia’s national air carrier, Armavia, said today it will halt flights from April 1.
Yerevan, March 29, /ARKA/. Armenia’s national air carrier, Armavia, said today it will halt flights from April 1.
“A decision was made to halt flights and begin bankruptcy procedure. The company thanks all its passengers who used its services over 12 years of its operation and wishes them all well,’ it said in a press release.
Armavia was founded in 1996. In 2005 all its shares were acquired by businessman Mikhail Baghdasarov. The company operated more than 100 flights a week to over 40 destinations in 20 countries. It owned and ran Airbus, CRJ, Boeing, as well as Sukhoi Superjet aircrafts. -0-
