Armenia’s premier introduces new minister of economy to staff
YEREVAN, April 23. /ARKA/. Armenia’s premier Hovik Abrahamyan has introduced the newly appointed minister of economy Karen Chshmarityan to the staff, the government press office reported.
Karen Chshmarityan replaced Vahram Avanesyan as minister of economy Tuesday.
The premier expressed confidence Chshmarityan’s long-year experience and knowledge will help solve the problems the country faces.
Each ministry has certain clear tasks and should continue the reforms underway, the premier said.
The head of the government thanked the former minister of economy Vahram Avanesyan for efforts and cooperation and said he should continue using his knowledge and experience for the benefit of the country.
Karen Chshmarityan was born on September 12, 1959. He graduated from the Yerevan Institute of Economy with degree on industry planning. He was minister of trade and industry (renamed ministry of trade and economic development) in 1999-2007, has been member of parliament since 2007 and member of the Republican Party of Armenia. –0--
